  • Adrenal Gland Feminism - R Hunsicker and Oscar Brown

Adrenal Gland Feminism is a radio show dedicated to spotlighting queer artists and songs which demonstrate our queer experiences at Colgate and beyond. Each week, we spotlight music that resonates with a certain queer and/or trans experience, showing how queer embodiment exists beyond explicitly queer produced music. While the genre may change, every song on the show will relate to our greater theme of embracing queer identities, advocating for LGBTQIA+ people, and voicing the intersectional experiences queer community members face.

  • Best of Britpop - Ellie Markwick

Britpop was a movement that defined the 90s in both culture and music. From Oasis to Elastic, every band and their songs tells the story of life in England at a period when British pride was at an all-time high. Every week, we look at songs that provided the soundtrack for a generation as well as the bands that influenced them (think British Invasion) and the bands that they in turn inspired (looking at you Arctic Monkeys). I promise, Britpop is more than just Wonderwall ;) Tune in from 12-1 on Fridays!

  • Musings of an NPC - Gisele tjan

Take a step away from real life each week and get yourself immersed in the virtual! On Musings of an NPC, I talk about a different video game each week, delving into the game mechanics, themes, and story. Of course, each week I pick the perfect tunes (either from the video game or closely inspired) to accompany the conversation. Video games are unique and immersive forms of narrative stories and I love taking a deep dive into each. How do the mechanics of the game add to the story? What are some downfalls of the game, or true highlights? How are the creators able to weave such a thematically intense story within the barriers of the medium? Tune in on Mondays at 2:00 - 3:00 PM to hear your favorite campus NPC gab about games (WARNING: not spoiler free)!
